PHP Developer

Your Role
They are looking for an enthusiastic PHP backend developer with experience with a framework.
You will be working on building and incrementally refactoring next generation rich client media streaming applications for a variety of their products and customers which comply with written and verbally agreed specifications, to agreed time-scales and to agreed quality criteria.

Your Challenges
You will be required to:
•Develop data services and APIs for our primary platform(s)
•Provide support for our current platform(s)

Your Technical Skills/Knowledge
You will have:
•Knowledge of a PHP Framework (Cake, Symfony or Zend, minimum of 1 year)
•Strong working knowledge of design patterns and anti-patterns in both theory and practice
•Good understanding of CSS, XHTML/HTML5, MXML layout definition
•Client-Server integration and architecture
•Good knowledge of API and CMS
•An experience or working knowledge of video streaming (extremely desirable)
•A good grasp of image editing techniques and tools (Photoshop, GIMP, Adobe Fireworks)
Required Experience
You will have:
•3 years demonstrable development experience in an object-orientated environment or possess level > 6 course (2:1 or higher) in Computer Science (or related technical field) and have at least 2 years commercial exp
