PHP Developer - Media, Web 2.0, London
Junior to mid-level PHP Developer required in London to join a new division within a large multinational media company. You will be working on an innovative social networking and interactive online media Web 2.0 site as part of a small, but highly skilled team and the role could either suit a recent graduate with placement experience, or an experienced PHP developer who is looking for a new challenge. You will be responsible for requirements analysis, software design and development, as well as contributing to discussions about new features and the broader technology roadmap by keeping abreast of emerging technologies, tools and methodologies. Key skills in use will be PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, jQuery, SQL and MVC frameworks. This is a great chance to work on an innovative new site with all the backing of a major multinational.
In order to be considered you must have a 2:1 or above in a relevant discipline such as Computer Science) and good A-Levels. You must have a good working knowledge of PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and SQL (either MySQL, PostgreSQL or Oracle) gained in the commercial environment. Experience with Linux, AJAX, jQuery, SEO, Zend, Yii, Symphony or another MVC framework would also be desirable.
