PHP/Javascript developer, London

PHP developer needed to join a very small team developing two major arts websites. Permanent job in a small, friendly company in North London; needs strong expertise in PHP/Javascript.

We operate Bachtrack.com, a major classical music website, which has just been joined by OneStopArts.com, an arts website for London.

It's been just one person doing all the development so far, and we're looking for someone to take on a big share of the work. It's a permanent job; there's enough work for someone full-time, although we'll consider someone of the right calibre who strongly wants a part time job only.

Technologies are LAMP / Javascript / jQuery. Bachtrack.com is built on Drupal, OneStopArts.com is built on an innovative PHP framework that we hope to develop into something exciting with importance way beyond these two websites. Since it's a tiny team, you get to see all the different areas of the systems and the technologies in them, whether it's pure PHP coding, design of complicated workflow and user interactions, hacking at CSS to make the site look right, integrating with third party feeds or anything else.

You must be competent in PHP and Javascript and have a good understanding of databases and object-oriented development. However, we're relaxed about specific experience: good programming practice, attitude and a willingness to learn are more important than which language you used in your last project.
