PHP Web Developer - London - e-commerce, London
PHP Web Developer required in London Soho by a small but highly successful e-commerce company. Joining a team of 7 developers you will have the opportunity to work on all aspects of this high-traffic, highly transactional website from user interface through to payments systems and large scale systems manipulating vast amounts of data from various sources & aggregators. Technologies in use will include PHP5, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, MySQL, MVC frameworks. The company are also looking at Memcached and MongoBD implementations so there might be opportunities to gain experience in these areas as well. As you will be joining a small team, there will be opportunities to make a real difference such as suggesting your own ideas for product improvements or new technologies, defining technical architectures or mentoring more junior developers. This will be a fast-paced, creative role with a successful, growing company. Interviews available w/c 6th Sept.
The ideal candidate will be bright, highly motivated and keen to continue learning & adopting new technology. Your technical skills should include PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Ajax. Knowledge of Agile methods, jQuery, Linux, SVN or MVC frameworks such as Cake, Zend, Yii or Symfony would be desirable. Experience working on high traffic public facing websites such as ecommerce, price comparison, aggregators, online gaming/gambling or social networking would be highly desirable.
