Senior PHP Developer

Your Role

They are looking for an enthusiastic senior PHP5.2/5.3 backend developer with a wealth of experience with the Zend framework.

You will be working on building and incrementally refactoring next generation rich client media streaming applications for a variety of their products and customers which comply with written and verbally agreed specifications, to agreed time-scales and to agreed quality criteria.

Your Challenges

You will be required to:

Develop data services and APIs for our primary platform(s)
Mentor a team of junior developers
Provide support for our current platform(s)

Your Technical Skills/Knowledge

You will have:

An extensive knowledge of the Zend PHP Framework, JSON, XML and object-orientated PHP & JavaScript
Strong working knowledge of design patterns and anti-patterns in both theory and practice
Strong knowledge of REST architecture
Strong understanding of caching
Good understanding of CSS, XHTML/HTML5, MXML layout definition
Proven experience with manipulating application activity data to generate graphical representations of data usage
Large scale application architecture and development using PHP 5.2/5.3, Nginx/Apache and SQL/Stored Procedures (e.g. MySQL)
Client-Server integration and architecture
